Had a dream about mom.only I could see her and speak to her. It was very weird for me because everything on her side was alive and doing well. For me everything was dead and smelly. So I told my mom to stop living like this. I told her to go home. She said she is home. I miss her so much and the form she's in works bc I can always talk to her and she talks back and I physically see her. It's just very weird for me. I don't want her to leave but at the same time she should be in heaven. Mom has is after life presence but not heaven presence. All of this is happening at my moms house. She has this dead chicken as a pet but when I see it it's stiff and rotting in her eyes it's very alive and eating. I have the ability to see both sides.
Dreams about deceased loved ones, especially parents, are often laden with deep emotional significance and can evoke a wide array of feelings from comfort to confusion. Here's an interpretation of your dream:
Contact with Your Mother: The fact that you are able to see and communicate with your mother in the dream suggests a strong longing for connection and perhaps unresolved emotions regarding her passing. This could indicate that you're still processing your grief and the transition from a physical to spiritual relationship with her.
Dual Realities: The dream presents two contrasting realities - one where everything around your mother is alive and another where everything around you is dead and decaying. This duality might symbolize your struggle to come to terms with her passing. Your mother’s side, filled with life, may represent your memories of her strength, vitality, and presence in your life. Meanwhile, the dead and smelly environment surrounding you could symbolize your feelings of loss and the absence of her physical presence.
Contradictory Feelings About Letting Go: Your conflict between wanting your mother to stay and the belief that she should be in heaven illustrates the natural struggle between holding onto memories and the desire to allow a loved one to rest peacefully. This might reflect inner conflict regarding how to move forward while preserving your mother’s memory.
Symbolism of the House: Your mother’s house being the setting signifies the foundational role she played in your life. Homes in dreams often relate to the self or feelings of security and stability. Her house being a place where you can still interact with her might represent your need for reassurance and comfort.
The Dead Chicken: The chicken, dead for you but alive for her, might symbolize different perceptions of the same reality. This could point to differing ways in which you and others around you, or even different parts of yourself, perceive your ongoing journey with grief. The image might also evoke the idea of denial or the acceptance of different phases in life, highlighting a cognitive dissonance between seeing life where you experience loss.
Ability to See Both Sides: Your ability to perceive both realities can suggest a deeper understanding or insight into the nature of life, death, and memories. It might be indicative of an awareness of the transient nature of life, alongside a belief in continuity beyond physical existence.
Emotional Resolution: Finally, your conversation with your mother in the dream illustrates an ongoing internal dialogue dealing with loss, acceptance, and the idea of an afterlife or spiritual presence. The dream might be encouraging you to explore these feelings openly, perhaps even suggesting a need for real-life conversations with supportive friends, family, or professionals.
This dream is not just a representation of your feelings toward your mother but also a mirror reflecting your internal struggle and process of acceptance regarding life, death, and the continuation of relationships beyond the earthly realm. You might find it comforting to explore these feelings through creative expression, meditation, or spiritual practices that resonate with you.
